It was used by mobile-operator WAP gateways/proxies for early mobile web browsing on feature phones.
Real-world software and systems include Openwave (Phone.com) Mobile Access/Universal WAP Gateway, Nokia WAP Gateway 1.x/2.0, Ericsson WAP Gateway, and the Kannel open-source WAP/SMS gateway.
Legacy mobile handsets (e.g., early Nokia and Sony Ericsson devices) accessed operator WAP services over UDP/9200 via these gateways.
Outside of legacy WAP deployments, there are no widely used modern systems known to rely on UDP/9200.
