TCP 9102
Synopsis
- Bacula File Daemon (bacula-fd) listens on TCP 9102 by default; this is the client service used by the Bacula backup suite on Linux/Windows/macOS systems.
- Many network print servers and enterprise printers expose TCP 9102 as an additional RAW printing port (JetDirect/RAW), alongside 9100/9101.
- Real-world examples include HP JetDirect and JetDirect EX print servers, Axis print servers (e.g., AXIS 540/560 series), and some Brother/Canon devices that map 9100/9101/9102 to multiple printer queues/ports.
- CUPS can target these secondary RAW queues via socket://printer-ip:9102.
- Security note: Internet-exposed RAW printing ports (including 9102) are often abused to send unsolicited print jobs, and misconfigured or unpatched Bacula File Daemons on 9102 have been targeted in attacks.
