TCP 5910
Synopsis
- TCP port 5910 is commonly used by VNC for display :10 (port 5900 + display number 10) via the RFB protocol.
- Real-world examples include TightVNC, TigerVNC (Xvnc), RealVNC Server, and x11vnc when started on display :10, all of which listen on TCP 5910.
- Virtualization platforms with built-in VNC servers, such as QEMU/KVM (e.g., qemu -vnc :10), also bind to TCP 5910.
- Because exposed VNC ports in the 59xx range are frequent attack targets, 5910 is often scanned and used for brute-force attempts or exploitation of insecure/unauthenticated VNC services.
