UDP 5062
Synopsis
- UDP 5062 is used in practice as an alternate SIP signaling port by some VoIP endpoints.
- Grandstream devices (e.g., GXP-series IP phones and HT-series ATAs like HT802) listen on UDP 5062 by default for SIP on Account/Line 2.
- Poly/Obihai OBi ATAs (e.g., OBi200/OBi202) assign UDP 5062 as the SIP listen port for SP3 by default.
- Because it is a SIP port, attackers commonly scan UDP 5062 (in addition to 5060) to find VoIP devices for SIP brute-force and toll‑fraud attempts.
