UDP 5002
Synopsis
- iPerf 2.x uses UDP port 5002 for the reverse stream in dual-test mode (-d); the server typically listens on 5001 and spawns a second listener on 5002 for the opposite direction.
- perfSONAR and other network performance toolkits that include iperf2 inherit this behavior, so their dual-direction UDP tests also use 5002.
- GStreamer RTP deployments commonly configure stream pairs such that, for example, video RTP is on UDP 5000 and audio RTP is on UDP 5002 (mirroring widely used example pipelines).
- Beyond these application-specific cases, there is no widely standardized protocol that commonly binds to UDP/5002.
