TCP 4899
Synopsis
- Radmin (Remote Administrator) by Famatech uses TCP port 4899 by default; the Radmin Server service listens on 4899 and the Radmin Viewer client connects to it for remote desktop/control, file transfer, and system administration on Windows.
- It’s commonly deployed in corporate/IT support environments for remote helpdesk and management.
- Security note: Port 4899 is frequently scanned and abused by attackers who brute‑force exposed Radmin servers or install Radmin as a covert remote-access tool; many AV products flag such misuse as Backdoor/Win32.Radmin or “Radmin RAT.”
