Synopsis

  • Schneider Electric/APC PowerChute Network Shutdown (PCNS) uses TCP port 3052; the PCNS service listens on 3052 to receive shutdown events and commands from APC Network Management Cards (e.g., AP9630/AP9631/AP9640) and to coordinate graceful OS shutdowns.
  • In real deployments, VMware vSphere environments running the PCNS virtual appliance or Windows/Linux servers with PCNS installed typically open TCP 3052 for this purpose.
  • Legacy APC PowerChute Business Edition (Agent/Server/Console) also used TCP 3052 for agent–server communication in many Windows server installations.
