Dell EMC (formerly EMC) Navisphere/Unisphere Host Agent (aka NaviAgent) uses UDP port 2161 for communication between CLARiiON/VNX storage processors and host agents.
In real deployments, the array’s SP A/B send queries to hosts on UDP 2161 so the agent can report HBA/WWN and LUN information for automatic registration and path management; blocking this port causes “Agent not reachable” in Unisphere.
Example: Windows or Linux servers running the EMC Navisphere/Unisphere Host Agent must allow inbound UDP 2161 from the storage array IPs to enable host registration and discovery.
