TCP 1830
Synopsis
- TCP port 1830 is registered by Oracle for the Oracle Net8 Connection Manager (CMAN) administrative service.
- In real deployments, Oracle Database environments that use Oracle Connection Manager (a proxy/gateway for database traffic from DMZs to back-end listeners) often expose CMAN’s control interface on TCP 1830.
- Oracle’s cmctl (Connection Manager Control) utility connects to CMAN on this port to manage rules, sessions, and monitoring.
- While the port can be changed in cman.ora, 1830 is the IANA-registered default for the CMAN admin service.
