UDP 1761
Synopsis
- Ivanti Endpoint Manager (formerly LANDesk Management Suite) Remote Control uses UDP port 1761 on managed endpoints for agent discovery/broadcast and to negotiate remote-control sessions with the Remote Control viewer/Core Server.
- In real deployments, Windows clients running the Ivanti/LANDesk Remote Control agent listen on UDP 1761 (alongside TCP 1761), and Ivanti’s firewall guidance recommends allowing UDP 1761 between the Core and endpoints.
- Older Novell ZENworks for Desktops Remote Management (which incorporated LANDesk technology) also used UDP 1761 for similar remote-control agent discovery and session setup.
