TCP 16010
Synopsis
- TCP port 16010 is commonly used by Apache HBase for the HBase Master web UI (the “InfoServer”) that serves HTTP status/metrics and basic admin pages.
- This default is used in standard Apache HBase installations and major Hadoop distributions (e.g., Cloudera CDH/Cloudera Runtime and Hortonworks/Ambari), as well as popular Docker images like Bitnami’s HBase, unless reconfigured.
- In practice, an HBase cluster’s Master node listens on 16010 for its dashboard, while RegionServers typically expose their UI on 16030.
- Exposed 16010 endpoints are frequently found by internet scans; misconfigured HBase UIs can leak cluster details, so access is usually restricted to internal networks.
