Mini SQL (mSQL) database server by Hughes Technologies uses TCP port 1112 by default (mSQL 1.x–3.x).
This appeared widely in legacy Unix/Linux web stacks from the 1990s–early 2000s where apps used the mSQL API or CGI-based web apps connected to an mSQL daemon listening on 1112.
Security note: old mSQL 2.x versions had remotely exploitable flaws (e.g., buffer overflows and weak authentication), so attackers historically scanned port 1112 to identify and exploit exposed mSQL services.
